Friday 19th October

What a busy half term we have had in Year 2! We have had lots of fun and you have all worked so hard.

In Science we have been learning all about habitats. In particular, we learnt about a woodland habitat. We know that a fox, a rabbit and a hedgehog live in a woodland habitat. We also learnt what a habitat needs to provide.

In English we wrote our own story based on the text Wild. We chose a different setting and different animals. I loved reading all your stories!

In groups of 3 we completed our reflection task. We became authors and created our very own books. These books will be on display when we return after half term so you can read each others.

In Maths we have been learning the names and the properties of 2D shapes. Can you remember how many sides and vertices each shape has?

This week LC won star of the week for writing an amazing story. MK won the presentation award. Well done to both of you!

This half term we have been working really hard on our presentation and we have earnt lots of gold coins. Can we earn even more in Autumn 2?

Have a fantastic half term! Well done on working so hard the past 7 weeks, I am very proud of you all. Enjoy the break and I can’t wait to see you all after the week off. Don’t forget our trip to Knowlsey Safari Park on Friday 2nd November.
