Hi Year 2,

I am so proud of how hard you have all worked this week.

In English we wrote a character description to describe Gerald. I was amazed with your writing and I have been able to give out lots of gold stars! Well done year 2.

In our Science lessons we been learning about how plants survive in the different habitats. Today we started to learn about food chains, we will continue to work on this next week.

On Wednesday we visited the book bus. Which books did you like best?

This week HH won star of the week for amazing problem solving in Maths. TH won the presentation award for working so hard to improve his handwriting.

Don’t forget to keep practising your words for the Christmas performance.

Knowsley Safari Park

Hi Year 2,

What a brilliant first week back we have had! We started the week by reading the first few pages of Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae. We then predicted what we thought might happen next in the story.

In Maths we have been working on our 2 times table. We also learnt how to double and halve numbers.

Today we became adventurers at Knowsley Safari Park. We took a journey through Africa and saw lots of animals. Which animal was your favourite?

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Morris x
